Of Cabbages and Kings.....

What shall I talk of?

Of shoes and ships and sealing-wax
Of cabbages and kings? - Alice in Wonderland

First of all, thanks for voting!  According to the poll, 85% of us (or whoever voted) think that we have an unreasonable amount of homework!  And I thought that everyone seemed to be coping with the homework....

Everyone did a brilliant job with the science models - I was just stunned by our class' creativity and skill!  Good on us, S1X!  :)

How is everyone progressing on the Night of the Notables?  I liked the 'preview' we did in class the other day!  Everyone seems to have chosen very interesting and notable people, and I find myself looking forward, even more enthusiastically, to the Night ahead.

I have been attempting to catch up with the Night of the Notables work - I lost my USB after the holidays, in which I had saved the poster and activities.  I was silly enough not to make a back-up copy.  Oh, well...too late now.  I am presently re-typing the details for my poster, and then I shall begin designing.  I hope everyone's well on the way with their presentation.

THE POLL

Oh, by the way, the poll at the top of the page is meant to relate to the question:  "What do you think about the amount of homework we get in our class?"  Please vote and tell me what you think.  It'd be interesting to determine our class' degree of nerdiNESS.

NIGHT OF THE NOTABLES

Hello, everyone!

I'm sorry for not posting for so long.....At the moment I am trying to type with one hand and talk to someone on the phone at the same time.  I must say that I am brilliant at multi-tasking, but this is seriously taking a long long time...It is very interesting, attempting to keep up my end of the conversation with various comments made at random intervals and conversing in a relevant fashion.  But this means that my post is irrelevant to the title above.

I am just wondering what everyone is doing for the Night of the Notables and what ideas they have about presenting their Notable.  It might be helpful to other classmates.  Please comment! I love hearing other people's opinions.

I am doing Mother Teresa and I am not sure what I should put in the Personality Box and how I should present it.  Does anyone have any ideas to offer?

For people who are worrying about how much time we have left, we have two weeks!  Now's the time to start thinking seriously about the assignment (and doing something, too).  I realise that once we get it under progress, it is actually quite fun.  I hope the hypothetical conversation on the history blog in which a 7Y student has to admit that he has not even chosen his Notable, will not come true with our class.  Personally, I think that all of our class will do a brilliant job with this assignment and I am looking forward to the Night!

Please comment......:)
